Michele and this old guy ran together for 6.9 miles, time went by quicker than I thought, once more I realized that every step I take I am increasing the longest run of my life, and everybody step forward is a step closer to the finish.
At this point, I have absolutely no doubt I will finish this, of course, it could required some crawling, but this old guy is willing to do whatever to get there.
A phrase we all hear so many times comes to my mind

‘if you think this is hard, try chemotherapy’

This running thing is nothing, I have control over how much ‘discomfort’ I put my body thru, others, don’t have that luxury!
Kate this one is for you!

I’ve blogged before about Coach Ramon’s VT100 race, and as I was reading his account (via email), a paragraph, and in particular a line, stood out to me.

As much as I was in pain for the last two miles of this weekend’s 16 mile run, I couldn’t help but think of it.
