One of our TNT coaches, Christine Luff, writes for About.com’s “Running & Jogging” section. I signed up for their newsletter, because she’s constantly giving amazing advice on training. This week one of her topics was “How To Take a Post-Run Ice Bath.”
Ice baths are sort of like running. They seem like an awesome idea, and you know you’re gonna feel so much better after them, but during you’re gonna experience a wee bit of pain (good pain, but still).
She makes a great recommendation that you should ease into the cold water before pouring the ice in, something I wish I had known the last time I took an ice bath!
Tomorrow’s run is 17 miles, so I know I’m going to want to rock the ice bath after, so I’ll let you know if that trick makes it any easier ;) *and don’t forget to sign up for Christine’s newsletter!*
